4th Sunday Doubles at Central Park - Bring Your Own Partner

Due to the holidays the first BYOP dubs at Central Park will be December 30th. There are two divisions Pro ($20 per player) and Am ($10 per player). Optional first place bounty for the Pro Division is $5 per player.

The weather should be nice for Sunday's first BYOP dubs! This is a fun layout that will challenge low scores!

The layout will be an 18 hole layout with the following:

1. Hole 1 Red to 2's basket
2. Hole 3 Red
3. Hole 4 Blue
4. Hole 5 Red to 6 basket
5. Hole 7 Red
6. Hole 8 Blue
7. Hole 9 Blue
8. Hole 11 Gold to Hole 12's basket (11 Gold plays along the bike trail to the right of the retention pond! Walk across bridge from 9 to the right and up the hill)
9. Hole 13 Red
10. Hole A Red to B basket
11. Hole C Blue
12. Hole D Blue
13. Hole E Blue to F's basket
14. Hole G Red
15. Hole I Blue
16. Hole 15 Red to 16 basket
17. Hole 17 Red
18. Hole 18 Red

CTP's will be Hole 4 Blue, Hole 13 Red and Hole 17 Red. CTP's are for both Divisions. Ace pots for Red and Blue are above $200!

After being asked several questions and receiving feedback, we have discussed them with some other disc golfers in the area. I will answer the following questions.

-Is there an odd dog? No
-How will the divisions be separated? I threw out the comment of "940+ rated players should play pro" and that was a general statement. Ideally anyone over 915 should play pro. If you have accepted cash in any tournament, you will play in the pro division regardless of your partner. We are also slightly tweaking the buy in for Ams to deter some from playing down a division. The Am buy-in Is now $20 per team and there is not going to be an Amateur First Place Bounty. The pro pot and bounty remains the same.
- Can Ams play for vouchers and Pros play for cash? No, we cannot guarantee having available resources or distributors to have merchandise at every BYOP dubs.
-Will the buy in ever be raised to bring in more cash? We don't plan on it, we want to separate this from a monthly tournament in order to avoid course rental fees. We pay the Parks Department for the doubles and it is less then a full rental.

So how'd this go the perk event was cold in the when we started but turned into a pretty nice day.

We had 26 players out and had a good time. It was mild weather the entire round.

The next CP BYOP Dubs round is Jan 27th!!! $40 for the Pro teams and $30 for the Am teams. Free Innova holiday disc as a CTP to go along with the 3 cash CTP's. The Red and Blue Ace pots are both over $230!!! First place to pro's was over $100 last month!

The layout is Red, Red, Blue, Blue all the way through the open 18 holes!!!
