Just an FYI, now that Daylight Saving time has started, Thursday Doubles is scheduled to start at 5:30. This early start time will last until sunset is a little later in the day, to help keep us from playing the last couple of holes in the dark. The format will be the same as everyone is familiar with: $5, $10, or $15 buy-in. The $5 level is the basic buy-in; the $10 level adds CTP and Ace Pot chances; the third $5 goes to the winner-take-all side pot.

Went to sign up for Thursday doubles with two 5 dollar bills (checked the board for entry before going) and was told it was $11 for basic action round, ctp's, and ace fund. So I went to my bag, got a 20 dollar bill and paid. Was given change which I did not check or count till getting home and turned out I paid $12 or was mistakenly only given $8 in change . The reason I even checked was because the winners got 11 dollars each a $22 total for winnings on a 7 teams 14 players event and could not figure the payouts adding up. Something was a miss. Have no idea what the payout structure is at Oregon park or what a round cost as it's listed $10 here for the basic action. Martin did a great job for years as TD. Not sure if the current TD was having a off day and things were just getting all mixed up or what.

The sign up is $5,$10,$15. Plus an additional $1 for non Cobb Disc Golf Club members. The first $5 is the minimal buy in. Of that $4 goes towards the payout and $1 goes to the club for course maintenance. The second $5 is for 4 CTPs and the ACE fund. The third $5 is for side action that goes to the best team that paid into the side action.

If you paid $11, then you were in for the payout, the ACE & CTP Fund and you are not a member of the club. 14 Players would generate $56 for the payout. I know that first place was given $22 second got $18 and third place got $16.

While I agree that the funds could have been distributed better(maybe $28, $18, $10), I can assure you that all the funds were paid out. I would check back with Wayne on the missing $1, but I do not see any shenanigans...

$5 Buy in+$1 non-CCDGC member fee+$1 course fee(mafia dollar)+$5 ctp&ace=$12 Right?
I didn't think there was a non-CCDGC member fee on Thursdays, though. I though that was
only on Tuesday's sanctioned singles action.
Fart, it's never not funny!

Sorry... the $5 buy-in includes the $1 course fee. $5 + $5 +$1 = $11. The $1 non club fee was added this year. Don't shoot the messenger, I did not make the decision, I just need to support it until I get off at the next stop...

Wayne isn't the best in the world at arithmetic, but if he shorted your change, he'll make you whole.

But who is this "Martin" you speak of, and where is he now?

Sorry Lewis...

You have to be an "Old School" Oregon Parker to know who Martin was.

Update- The action is $11 for everything & $5 side action.
The extra fee's go to course additions and improvements.

And the payouts are close weighted.
The non members fee might not seem so friendly to some. That may change after all improvements are done.

Agree
Even tho we may have left some of our game in the car ;) We journeyed through it. The new players were learning. The twin brothers were showing their great potential at the the sport. And the more experienced were just enjoying being at a local event no matter the outcome.
For me felt like it was get rid the shule shots day. Because I personally gave the golf course every one i could shoot at it. :D

a few questional things about the way it was ran, having a sixum start on 14, splitting numbers drawn up to make a sixum, and first place payouot getting 13 each and second getting 10 each. but while playing it was fun just seemed to take forever waiting to start and to get payed out.
