3 Rounds of Singles on a Special short Layout

Entry Fees- PRO-$50 ADV-$35 INT-$25

I am not having any age protected divisions, but I promise the layout is gonna be extremely short, so distance shouldn't be an issue.

Schedule as of now...

Check In- 7:30-8:30
Players Meeting- 8:40
Round 1- 9:00
Round 2 - STARTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER ROUND 1 and a card shuffle
Lunch Break following Round 2
Round 3 - 1 hour after the last card is turned in from Round 2
Awards/Payout - ASAP

We will not have food for sale on site! Pack a Snack, a Lunch, and plenty of fluids!


SIDE ACTION

(The usual) $1 CTP on EVERY hole that is in play for ALL 3 rounds. It only takes 1 good Tee shot out of 54 to cash!

Mystery Dubs - $15 per person ($30 a Team)

The Mystery Dubs format will be...

Bring Your Own Partner, with a combined MAX rating of 1910. That means a 1000 rated player would have to play with someone rated 910 or under, or two 955 rated players could partner up. (No rating =950) You and your partner will most likely play together in Round 1, but not Rounds 2 and 3.

Your Team Score will come from using the Best Disc scoring method. Basically, you will have a partner and your team score for each hole will be the lowest score that you or your partner earned.

EXAMPLE:I get a 2 on hole #1 and my partner gets a 7, our team score on that hole is a 2. I get a 4 on hole #2 and my partner gets a 2, then our team score is a 2.

I am not doing online Reg, just show up with cash the day of the event. But I would like to get an Idea of who's coming. So let me know if you are coming and if you are playing Dubs too and I'll start a Players List and a Dubs Team List.

I'm going out today to shorten as many holes as I can. I'll be moving baskets on 1, 2, 11. I'll be adding adding new short tees to 6, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18. In the tournament, the orange tees will be used instead of the red tees. The orange and the red are the same tee on 1, 2, 4, 7, 11, 17.

Thanks to everyone who came out! We didnt have the biggest crowd, but we did have BIG FUN! I couldn't have done it without Luke, Rachel, Gort and all the wonderful Hole sponsors. And let's not forget those awesome folks who came and worked on the course for everyone's benefit!

Here are some interesting and weird notes from the Action:

1. We had 28 players, 24 got into the Ace Fund. Of the 4 that didn't buy into the Ace fund, 2 of them HIT ACES! Those 2 guys rode together with Josh Childs to the tournament. Josh Childs ended up winning ($60) half the ACE Fund in a CTP Throw off after the event. I forgot who won the other $60, but Dr.Bob was 3rd closest to win the PM Champ Roc Donated by DISCCADDIE. Coby Guice threw a thumber that splashed out for an Ace on hole 1 during the throw off to win NADA.

2. I dont think anyone won more than 2 CTPs (which several did) but the Biggest winner of the cash ctps was Ryan Watson. Ryan won 2 holes including Hole 9. While all the CTPs had ADDED CASH, Hole 9 is permanently sponsored by The Macon Aces, who jacked up the ctp bounty on it to $50. (Others winning 2 ctps were Matlack, Coby G, Money Mike, and Josh Childs. The TD got blanked on the 20 CTPs!)

3.The Mystery Dubs was a fun addition to the event. I think Mystery Dubs gets better by the more teams that play. We had 10 teams play, and scores were ridiculous. The dubs paid out 4 spots, with Chris Foley and myself beating 3 other teams by 1 stroke for the win! 2nd place was Vach/Imran, Gort/Mike A, Rachel/Dollar.

Since we didnt draw a huge crowd at this one, I think my next event might be another Invitational. I hope to run one more PDGA before the end of the year. See yall at the next one.
