As State Coordinator, I would like to start getting feedback as to which dates people would like to use for SANCTIONED EVENTS in 2012.

As always Majors, NT's and A-tiers dates are set first by the PDGA and then the rest of the schedule fills in.

I will also try to coordinate again with South Carolina, NC and TN to try to not overlap where possible.

The Calendar will be updated HERE ONLY in this post, so please check it first before requesting dates.

IF you want your tournament listed on the ADGO website front page, create a topic for your tournament in the Disc Golf Tournaments forum so there is something to link to! (added by jonp)

county about putting 2 new courses in that will be going in the ground in March and the city wants to have an event on the 4th of July Weekend...I should know more details by Sunday, but i want to stake claim to the date if possible.

Depends on the county - as Augusta is running a B-Tier Top Gun Event that weekend and you would need to meet the mileage restrictions depending on your tier.

When you check if the mileage is good, then I can add it if you still want that date. You could use the weekend AFTER the 4th which is on a WED (so technically EITHER weekend could be called 4th of July weekend) as there is NOTHING yet scheduled for that weekend if you want to have no conflicts.

Was looking to Tim Acker, who'll be TD'ing LITW, to update this, but I know he's got a lot on his plate right now. LITW will be 10/13, decided last Monday night at the RDGC board meeting. Still planned to be a C-Tier.

You are ok with the milage restictions for C-tier against C-tier (25 Miles) , BUT the long running Fright Flight doubles Event is that same day in the South Metro ATL area which usually has a huge crowd of ATL golfers, so I don't know if that would hurt your attendance.

If it doesn't matter to you, then you can sanction your Event on that weekend per PDGA rules.

If you are choosing another date - then please check the first / top post for already approved sanctioned Events to see what might work best for you.
