Dec 15/16 - Final Challenge Sign Up & Payout

Please post your tag number here so that I can get everyone signed in. And please don't challenge anyone else since that will change the sign-in's.

Check in time will be 8:00 with a 9:15 cut off so that I can get the board set. First round should start around 9:45 or 10.

You will need to have your tag at check-in for proof of purchase. I have one possibly two am's left for $5.00 and several pro ones too.

I am going to be paying out the top 4 spots in each division. It will be broken down as 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%.

EDIT: In my calculations last night I forgot to take out the $236.23 costs for the tags. I have adjusted the payout to fix this mistake. If you want to know all the details, I can email them to you so there won't be any question about it. Sorry for the confusion.

The reason that there is less in the Pro side is that they bought less tags, plain and simple. Both divisions are getting back exactly what they put in. I don't believe in taking money away from one division to help the payout in another (even if it's ok to do it by the PDGA standards).

I need sign up info from those of you who are going to make it on Dec. 15. I am trying to work on the brackets and it's going to take a while if everyone just walks up on Sat. and I have to figure it out then. Go and look at your bag and get your number to me please.

You will need to pack a lunch that day because we aren't stopping unless you get knocked out of the tournament. I will provide PB&J stuff but that's it. Be prepared if you plan on making it to the finals because it's going to be fast and furious getting through all the 9 hole rounds. (unless the you are a Pro and then since there is only 4 so far you will all cash)

It's looking like there are going to be some quick rounds to get to the cash. As it sits, the Am's would play 2 possibly 3 matches to get to the Finals and the Pro's would only have 1 possibly 2.

Remember that whomever comes in with the lowest tag will possibly get a bye in one of the rounds. Unless we get 16 folks to play. Since the #1 Am won't be there Mr. Rickey will get the top spot.

I have been working on the brackets and it's going to be tough to answer questions without knowing how many will show up. I am sure ya'll will have some input, but P-nut is going to be helping so hopefully it will run smooth. The lowest tag number will get a bye if needed. This is why I was trying to get more folks to go ahead and sign up so I would know what I am working with.

As far as the 18 holes, I am of the mind to let the group decide. If there are only 6 and ya'll want to try and get 18 holes in then it has to be a group decision, and we have to be able to get it all in before dark.

My overall plan is to have the Finals be a foursome with the Pro and Am together and same for the 3rd and 4th place match. I want everyone to stay so they can follow the groups around. I am going to start back to back on hole 3.

This means that the Pro's are going to have to hang out for a bit until we get done unless they decide to throw 18 then they will be playing a little longer during fewer matches, which I think would work out just fine.

The AM's will stay at 9 hole matches.

Kat we will have to figure something out. Strokes really don't come into play in a match event. It's a hole by hole deal. We might give you a one hole lead to start, but you only have to win a maximum of 5 to keep going. I am going to have to think about what to do to even it up a bit, but be warned half the field will only get to play 9 holes, that's what is exciting about Match play. You gotta keep winning!!!


And since more Pro's are signing up, we are going to limit them to 9 hole matches. NOT 18.

Thanks to everyone that came out and played. It was a lot of fun to see how the matches played out. Thanks for being patient, and thanks to the Pro guys that helped with their side of the matches and the board.

the best way to recover lost liquids is the towel method:
items required :
spilt liquid (save the bottle as you'll need it)
towel
filtered funnel (found at local paint supply stores)

1. spill beer or other liquid (if applicable)
2. have a nice clean towel on hand (dirty towel works too, only if it is not your liquid being recovered)
3. pat towel all over the spilt liquids surface till towel is fully soaked
4. place filtered funnel on empty bottle
5. wring out the soaked towel into the funnel till all liquid is removed from floor (repeat step 3 as needed)
6. drink up and enjoy!! (some chilling may be required for the newly re-constituted liquid)

I was playing guitar hero and blacked out momentarily (long enough for me to fall down into the tv tray and knock all the beers accept mine over).
