New course map

It's still something of a work in progress, but it's mostly good to go. Do let me know if you see any problems.

Warning: the PDF is set up as a 30" x 30" file, so if you're planning to print it out, select the option to scale to fit on a single page, or else prepare for your printer to be spitting out pages for a while.

I would like to have this type of map for McCurry Park. How time consuming was it to make and would you consider helping with another? If no, how can I go about getting a quality map for McCurry Park DGC?

Andrew Lofstrand put together the hole diagrams for the tee signs we did back at the beginning of the year, so he'd have to answer for how much time that took him. I took the individual hole diagrams and scaled them as needed and overlaid them on a Google Maps aerial photo of the park, changed the diagram elements from black to color, and then drew the rest of the park features on the map. I didn't keep track of my time on it, but it wasn't a huge effort -- probably no more than 5 or 6 hours, done in spare moments over several days. Without Andrew's diagrams as a starting point, however, it would have taken much, much longer.

The new map at the top is a great map. Amazing job to who made it.

The updated map made me laugh like crazy. It's a perfect update for that course because of the number of trees.

Great job...I like it better than the one I was working on...for some reason I couldn't get the resolution scaling to work right so I never showed it to you.

Jay, I also added some additional info as a new message in that thread (RDGC web site, link to hi-res PDF version of the map suitable for printing, and links to my old photos of the course and the DGCourseReview gallery, which has newer photos including the concrete pads and new tee signs). If you have the time and inclination, would be great if you could merge into the top post.
