"Grey Ghost" Stingray

Postby ET » Sat Jul 28, 2007 1:07 pm

lost 7/23 to 7/25 sometime pm on hole ?:

grey, old-school (early 90's), 175+/- gram, flat top DX stingray.

losing discs is a specialty when i throw multiple shots on one hole and do not do a full inventory count prior to proceding to the next hole.

this disc is ghost grey and has a gold stamp swimming stingray on the top.
the bottom shows predominant "rust stain/leaf stain" from weathering from being lost for almost a year at CP. this disc was also lost at toccoa this year at the stephens county pro-am and returned to me at hotlanta last weekend. i know it seems like a lot to ask, but i'm putting out an All Points Bulletin (APB) to ERPers to keep their collective eyes open for this disc as it may be in the possession of a barney or newby who doesn't realize the importance of karma in returning another player's disc when found.

the disc is well marked with my "ET" on the top and my "ET", pdga #4977 and cell phone #770-329-6599 on the bottom. a generous reward is offered for it's return. (new DX or pro disc of your choice).

thanks for your help.

ET, You lost this disc in three different parks?!?

The disc is not lost, it is a habitual runaway. Either from a bad home life or an irresponsible parent. This disc needs some counselling.

that may be "one-disc" chris's, who found my wraith this week. he throws ERP from black/blue combo tees with a mean flick and a solo blue champ beast. usually shoots in the upper 50's!

Lost Disc, white roc

Postby CD » Fri Oct 05, 2007 8:09 am

I am looking for a white KC PRO ROC that was lost right before doubles on 10/4. I was practing hole 17 and I overthrew the hole into 11's fairway. The logo is completly gone and there is some writing on the bottom that is green. I have had this disc for 4 years and I really need it. Please let me know. 678-758-9072, Craig

Light blue Play It Again Sports mini

Postby 12StonesScott » Mon Oct 29, 2007 1:43 pm

My son found a light blue Play It Again Sports-stamped mini (from the Snellville store) a couple of weeks ago somewhere in the Kudzu Corner area, stuck it in his bag, and forgot about it until yesterday. The true founding father's are Me and Gomez. Grease wanted to go to the disc auction. DD had to go to the country club with the old lady. Phil was the King of Jack and the first to fetch. All of this took place in Augusta.

The fall and elbow scrape happened in Huntsville. We were playing a modified team version of fetch with Funky B's zephyr. The fall down was the single greatest slow-mo live action replay that I've ever seen. I'm glad Grease survived but the form was a classic.

Grease had the extreme lazy eye look by that time. Didn't feel a thing.

... and the name of that game was "I'm Glad its not my Zephyr". Not as catchy as "Fetch" but appropos.

As I remember it, I was floating gracefully, almost swan-like, to catch the Zephyr. After 2 360's and obtaining 3 feet of air, my Croc slid off causing me to trip as I landed. I took the fall with an awesome skateboarder roll and only scraped my hip and elbow. The my wife ,Morgan Fairchild, rubbed rose water over my wounds and cooked me Jiffy Pop popcorn on the Explorer's radiator. MMMMM, popcorn!!!!!

Why is you guys always start the best dialog on the 'Lost and Found' threads? What a waste. No wonder so few people bother to post (besides the fact that most 'lost' discs end up in some Barney's(THIEF) bag.)

Well if someone would start a section of just "super cool things that happened to super cool people while non super cool people dreamed that they knew them and had to get psychiatric help to cope with not being super cool" then we'd stop.

Potential Find

Postby p_patin » Wed May 14, 2008 10:25 am

I found a disc but I don't remember the color. I do remember it was not opaque and it had 2 sets of initials on it (or maybe it was just 2 sets of 2 letters but I don't remember what they were). I think it was a mid-range disc.

Anyway, my buddy brought it home with him. I'll have him bring it to work so I can see if it's yours. I just found this web site yesterday otherwise I would have posted earlier.

Maybe it's yours. What was written on your disc?

Orange Disc Found

Postby p_patin » Wed May 14, 2008 2:16 pm

As I mentioned earlier, I found a disc at ERP on Sunday, May 4th. It's bright orange (clear) and has 2 sets of initials on it written with a sharpie. Please get in touch with me if you think this is yours.

I approached every group I saw while I was out there and no one claimed it. I found it on one of the last holes (possibly the 18th or 17th).

FOUND:
White Star T-Rex, with Ferentz on the back. I saw a barney walking around with a disc that had the flight #'s written on the back. I knew that Joe Ferentz did this on his discs and then quickly saw his name. After questioning the barney he said that he found it. I now have it. No # to call on disc.

I lost a bright green Elite Z Flick disc on hole 5. Maybe y'all have seen it. It was about 3-4 weeks ago. it was stuck pretty high in a tree, and not just sitting there, rather, lodged in the tree. It was there for about 4-5 days, and then i noticed it was gone. I had my name and # on it, but i have not received a call. if by some chance you may have found it, I would love to have it back.

Ah so it was you d merk who threw that awful drive that wedge into the limb. I helped some kids get it down and i believe they took it. I doubt you'll ever see it again maybe next time you lose it i would try to post a little more recently than a month and a half later.

FOUND: Disc that I can't remeber what the name was except that it was white. Hole 4 Kudzu.

LOST: Red Star Wraith that has my name on it, PDGA #, and phone #. Really, really want this one back! Lost in the Kudzu shule on hole 4. That shule is shule. This hole has now claimed three of my discs (no returns), and I will probably cease to play it from now on. And yes I'll have some cheese with that whine.

Argh. I've come to the conclusion that I left my star beast in the woods in between 10 and 18 when I was making a long putt to 18 after an errant throw on Labor Day. No name on disc, but I can describe it in detail.

I left it out in the open so if anyone sees it or sees a disrespectful golfer throwing it(my name and number are clearly marked in black permanent marker), please let me know I play east roswell almost everyday of the week and I live less than 5 miles away. Lost: White KC Pro Roc on hole 4 in the kudzu area to the right of the goal. Has the initials MP along with my old cell number, 678-516-6953. If found please pm me.

Found: Light blue Beast near the basket on hole 11. No name or number on it.

Also, I think I have a disc that was taken to the park's lost and found two or so months ago. Do people usually take discs to the tennis court office? If so, when is that place open?

The park office does have disc collection, so check it out. Not sure if it is policy to call a number if the disc has a number on it. Park office is open until 9 pm I believe. Go to the front desk.

Found:See-through green disc with QJLS stamped on it. Found on top of trailer on #4.

P.S.: If you do get on top of one of the trailers to get a disc I would not recommend jumping off. It cost me a trip to the emergency room and a week on crutches.

Or put a steel disc deposit box secured to the bulletin/sign area by the playground to be unlocked at local action

Actually it was because i landed on my heal and not on the balls of my feet so the outside of my foot bruised up from my heal all the way to my toe.

Anyways, as far as the box goes. I have seen this at quite a few courses. Oregon Park has one, so maybe find out who checks theirs and see if they have had any problems with break-ins or things of that nature. I think people would be more likely to drop losts dics in a box right by the sign than have to go turn it in to a lost and found somewhere else in the park.

You could also post a an ad on the board for these forums. Personally, I had no idea this forum existed except I came across it on accident.

Isn't it high time that those trailers exit post-haste from the course?!?!

While they might not be highway safe, the scrap metal must be worth something. I know if a new library was to go on that spot they wouldn't leave the trailers there...

Sorry the more I think about that hole the more I negative thoughts I have about it. I'd rather have a short boring hole (think the small field next to two) or another short technical hole (think something between hole 2 and 3 that would use the walk between as part fairway) than play that hole again. Didn't someone go to the hospital after jumping off the trailers to retrieve his disc? (Now granted it might not have been the smartest thing to do, but I definetly think it was an avoidable accident.)

I love ERP, and I love both the front and back nine, but the trailer hole is one of the worst holes that I know of in disc golf. Not only does it eat discs, but it also is a safety hazard that should be removed from the course of play.

Yes Oregon Park has a drop box, but it's wooden, and there have been incidents where the local kids broke into it and stole all of the lost discs. A steel drop box might be a bit harder to break into.

Chattanooga has a steel one and I haven't heard of any vandalism. The Barney Locals at ERP are good at stealing discs so I don't think it would matter what you used including a safe with a moat and pit bulls guarding it. They wouldn't put them in the box anyway.

Found 2, Lost 1

Postby 12StonesScott » Sun Oct 19, 2008 10:55 am

Found, yesterday (10/18/08) late afternoon, both on Hole 4:
  • Star Beast, white with green stamp. Found wedged into concrete pile at the bottom of the bush at the corner of the last trailer. Name illegible on bottom, but PDGA number there. Would look it up, but with the PDGA site in transition, the member directory's not online. E-mail (roswelldiscgolf@gmail.com) or IM me with the number and I'll arrange to get it back to you.
  • White DX Cheetah, well-loved, found moments later on far right side of fairway, just past dogleg left after the beginning of the downslope; probably forgotten, as it was in plain sight. No name or number.

Forgot, on hole 5, just short and left of the basket: Ancient, ancient yellow Discraft Magnet putter -- I think Gilgamesh used one like it in the first Mesopotamian Open. Forgot to pick it up after throwing multiple approach shots. Name and number on it.

My More Important Orange 172 teebird was swept off the course by a young gentleman; 18-19 years old, light hair, no bag 3-4 discs in hand. He played 12 holes found my disc on 13 and scooted off the course. This was witnessed by another golfer on 12 looking for his disc as I played 14. The kid was right behind me and infront of the other witness. It doesn't get any worse as this was my first champion disc/oldest disc in tha bag. REWARD!! My name and phone were written in a circle around the weight.

If you found it between Monday afternoon and now, the Shark could belong to one of the kids from the DG camp that wrapped up today -- at least 5 of them got DX 150g Sharks as the mid in their player packs. Wouldn't be at all surprising if one of them walked off without theirs at some point. Unfortunately, I don't have any contact info other than their phone numbers, and I'm not inclined to call all eight numbers on chance it might be one of them. They have my e-mail and phone number, though, so if one of them calls or e-mails me I'll let you know.

Tim was taking major board exams last week. He hasn't been answering. That is his number. I see him regularly... so the barney still has it? if not i can help him get it back (that same disc was lost, found, returned and lost again on the trailerhole only a week later  to be found again  )

LOST: Beat white XD on hole #1. Name on back is unknown as it was a donated disc. Please redonate to a kid if found because every child needs an XD.

STOLEN: White Star Tee Bird on #16! Hey A$$hole when you pick up a disc on a packed course and somebody tells you to leave it where it was DO IT! you Stupid F%^&!!!!!! Disc has CHOP and Dave Kenny's name on it. If you find someone with this disc please get it back from the moron!

Both of these disc were lost(?) on Saturday by my brother, not to mention that he completed the disc golf hat trick by breaking an old San Marino Roc I lent him.

LOST - Tue. Dec. 22 - Right of hole 8, near basket high - Red Valkyrie, 150 G, very worn to the point where you reaqlly an't see the writing on it - essentially just a red disk - one of my faves. I fear the Barneys behind me picked it up and kept it. Bummed.

Hey Guys!! I threw a roller on #7 today from the blue tees just screwing around and then I walked off and forgot it. It is on the right hand side, just in the woods. It is a little bit before the fairway bends to the left. The disc is a red Star Boss. It has my name and number on the back. If you find, thanks for calling. I'll pick it up.

It sucks that it happened here with the high barney rate. But I left my tie dye starfire out there somewhere yesterday. Orange tint, 170ish grams... Wasn't a bad shot, just laying out there somewhere Im sure, probably around hole 7 since that's the only hole i toss that one on. With my 101 temperature i guess I just forgot. If you find it, got my name and number on it. Appreciate it. Thanks.

JLS Polaris found

Postby 12StonesScott » Wed Mar 31, 2010 11:44 am

Sorry to be tardy with this -- a JLS Polaris was found during Monday night singles *last* week. Name "Chris Cain" on the back. There's a non-current PDGA member from GA by that name -- if anyone knows him, let him know I have it -- proof of identity or description (color, condition) to claim.

That was lost by a gentleman last Wednesday. He also lost a bracelet. He was continously walking the course looking for both. I happened to find the bracelet on Hole 7 and returned it to him. I told him where I found it, but, obviously, he couldn't locate the ring. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name. Hopefully, he will see your post.

Allright. With the wonderful growing of all the areas other than the fairway, it's looking like this thread is about to start picking up!!!

Found - Green Champion Monarch, custom stamp. Name Dan Cox on it. Called and left a message with number, still haven't heard anything back.

Found - Red Star Orc - Steve and Number on back. Called and spoke to, just a reminder for myself and him in case either forgets I have it.

Didn't lose nothing, thank you Jah, but definitely took a minute or two to find a couple.

I found a yellow "Surge- elite Z" on hole 5 yesterday. I looked up the pdga number (no name) that was on the disc from the pdga site. Says it is:
Forrest Callaway #18913
Roswell, GA, USA

I'm usually at Alexander on Sat. mornings after 9am. Please email me or claim disc at the course, I'll have it in my bag.

If you can give it to someone who also plays at Wills - like Brett Porter Brad Hammock, etc. Forrest is usually there every WED for Doubles

Anyone know a Garrett Starks? Found a disc yesterday on hole 5 with that name. I called the number twice but both times reached someone who only speaks Spanish. Tried to translate the message about returning said disc but they seemed to have no knowledge of disc golf.

Early release got my starfire lost on the left side of 5. White pro starfire, 175g. Name and number on it. Pin high, maybe a lil shorter. Looked for an hour myself to no avail. Would be nice to get this back.

Got a champ sidewinder that i found in a barney's possession, he wasn't rude was just unaware of returning discs to owners. Returned the first of the two to said person. The other one has no name. Weight and color will get it back in your hands. If i don't hear anything after a bit, i'm going to give it back to the kid that found it.

Lost a KC Pro Roc yesterday in the kudzu to the right on hole 5. Its an aged white color, and it should have my name (Zach Karamallakis) written on the bottom in red sharpie. I didn't think to put a phone number on there, but now I'm doing that for all my discs. Any help with reuniting me with my Roc will be much appreciated :D

Star Mako Black and Red marbled. It was inked so I would imagine no one from here snagged it. Hopefully it makes it back to me since I have not seen on that looks liek this one. Easy to see in other peoples hands also. Very distinct red and black marbleing. Inked on the inside rim. Thanks.

Aaaah man, I'm such an airhead.....

Played 2 rounds yesterday, and during 2nd round, took multiple shots on several holes (playing my first official shot, mind ya) and come to find out...

Doggone it!!! I'm missing my prized JK Pro 4x Champ Valkyrie (orange).

Trying to rethink in my scattered brain, I last drove it on either hole 16 or hole 3. It would be within 100-150 feet of pin in woods or kudzu (16 and 3 respectively) I'm predicting, since I had a few short-ass drives on those holes.

So PLEASE, PLEASE, to all you folks playing doubles tonight, if you come across it, PLEASE call me asap. Name and number is on back. This disc means a lot to me.

Not this is what I call a classic case of ADTD (Attention to Discs Thrown Disorder).

Thanks in advance.

My wife lost a pink tie dyed roadrunner in the thick stuff about halfway down the fairway on number 12. It's on the left side between 12's fairway and 14's tee pads. Probably about even with the beginning of the "pond" as you're walk towards the basket. We looked and looked but just couldn't get our eyes on it. It was a gift so she would really like to get it back if someone runs across it. I have some discs I would be willing to part with for your trouble if you find it.

Thanks

Was playing a round this evening with a buddy and he lost a disc on Hole 2. Clear/Whitish Innova Coyote (Champion X-Out). Launched from tee and took a hard turnover flight to the right towards the little nasty area at the bottom of hill near sidewalk for joggers. Looked for a while to no avail. Name Chai Thompson and Number on inside rim.

While looking I found a Pink Latitude 64 River with the handle Splash_4 and number inside rim. Figured it belonged to someone on here. (I think i remember seeing that name on here.) Would have called and waited but it was already dusk and I had to get my buddy back to his car. If I don't receive feedback here I will call number tomorrow during the day.

Well, I agree. but for some reason we couldn't find it. It was also getting later in the evening so it was getting harder to see. Where it hit it looked like it could've rolled out into the small field area or into the crazy shule at the bottom right in the valley of the hole. I don't know how it is for you (We played blues that day) but once a disc heads over towards all that nastiness, its pretty hard to see the whole flight/roll to where it could have landed. Searched all the area but didn't see it. Maybe one of the people walking the path at the time picked it up. Who knows.

I left my money beat dx Roc around hole 2's basket after the tourny last sunday. It is white and the bird on it is faded red. It looks like it's been ran over several times. Any help getting this back would be great.

Lost on Hole #4.....Teal colored Avenger SS Hi-Flex. Name and phone number are on the disc. This is my favorite disc of all time and I would love for it to find its way home.

Location last seen:

Follow the tree line down the right side of the fairway until you get to the open area just in front of the "deep" treeline. It was last seen near that corner (possibly in the area of the short stump sticking out of the ground).

Time:

Lost on Monday 7/24 during a rainy Singles Rec Division round. Searched for over an hour this morning (Tues 7/26) with no luck. It must be well-hidden. Would be willing to offer a small reward for its safe return.

Um, if I left it it wasn't on purpose. It was new, in good condition. I overthrew the hole to the right. I thought it went in the woods but I couldn't find it. Pretty sure I didn't leave it at a hole because I threw it

Postby 12StonesScott » Mon Jun 25, 2012 1:19 pm

While looking for his low-160s Vibram Ascent (still missing, FWIW), my son found a Katana and a Wraith in the kudzu in the vicinity of the tee area on Hole 5. Neither are rare, exactly, but both are fairly distinctive so if one of 'em is yours, tell me about it and I'll work out a way to get it back to you.

Lost on Hole #4 at ERP

Postby War_Eagle_GAC » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:02 am

Lost a dark blue Diamond to the right of the shed on Hole #4 this past Saturday during Singles. It is probably in the overgrown area or down the hill. Name and number on it if found.

:( Lost my Orange/Yellowish 11x Firebird on hole 17 during dubs tonight. We were playing from blue pads, hit a tree down the middle and it kicked left. Thinking it is in the general vicinity of 18's black tee pad. Name and number are on it. There is a reward for anyone that returns it.

Lost: White Gold wedding ring. Not sure if I lost it playing, or while cleaning out a chicken preparing dinner later. This was about a year ago, but if anyone finds it or has already found it, my wife would certainly be thrilled...

Description: White gold, with a shallow engraved S-curve going around the ring. Reward.

Lost a champ eagle on 12 today. It's greenish/yellow with black marbling dyed on, so good luck spotting it. Shanked way to the left in the brush. Has my name (Dustin) and my old (non working) phone number on it, so post up here if found, please and thank you.

LOST: White Star Katana on 4

Postby Schnizen » Wed Jul 03, 2013 4:05 pm

Forehand (I'm a righty) leveled off over the last trailer and fell to the right in the thick stuff. Not sure if it went all the way to the far tree line or somewhere around the back right corner. Name and number are on it if found. Just bought it in Seattle, so It'd be nice to get back if you see it. Thanks.

Lost - Star Destroyer Tie Dyed - Name and Number on disc. It is about 2/3 of the way down hole 5 and somewhere on the right in or over some fallen logs. Don't know if it made it as far as going over the logs and over the hill. Thick, tall, grassy shule there. Please return if found.

Postby MrHyde111 » Mon Dec 09, 2013 4:36 pm

I lost a Blue Star Boss on the 7th hole on 11/30. If found please let me know. Unfortunately, it was a newly acquired disc and I had not had a chance to write a name or phone number on the back. Any help would be awesome!

LOST : Aqua-Marine Prodigy Driver

Postby Swampkat » Mon Dec 09, 2013 7:33 pm

Seemed to have misplaced my Prodigy D series driver somewhere between hole 1 and 3; most likely hole 2. It doesn't have my name on it as I had just gotten it maybe an hour beforehand (it still has a super fresh Play-it-Again price tag on it). Lost it on 12-07

Thanks!
