Visiting ATL

Hey,

I'm going to be in Atlanta this weekend with my wife who has a business meeting all day on Friday. If anyone has any suggestions on courses to play or is available to play a round or two weather permitting, that would be awesome.

What area of town will you be staying in? Most courses are outside the perimeter (I-285 loop).

I don't work on Fridays and was hoping to squeeze in a round before picking up the young'uns from school (around 3-ish). Was planning to hit Central Park (north of Alpharetta) since it's close, but could probably swing Wills (Alpharetta), Sequoyah (Canton area) or East Roswell.

We're staying in North Decatur, but I'm up for anything within 30 minutes or so.

From there, you're probably closest to Redan, which I highly recommend. Being from the Carolinas, you'll love this course. Lenora is probably the next closest and a real fun track. It's mostly open. That being said, 30 minutes in any direction will get you to most courses in the ATL, with Central or Alexander stretching you out to 45 minutes.

I agree with Grease, though he may be underestimating the travel time. In my opinion, your best bet would be Redan, or if you like woods, East Roswell. But don't leave any valuables in your car at Redan.
