I was just talking about this at dubs saturday morning, which had 40 PEOPLE! With the amount of players out there the Alex needs a weekday action. You know what Atlanta does not have? It is Friday afternoon action. In Florida Friday dubs is very popular however i don't think they have to fight as much traffic as we do...

i like this idea a bunch. i vote for monday. we've already got something every day of the week already. even tho redan has fallen off a little i wouldnt use that spot because you never know if redan was to be reserected. of course theres wills on wednsdays that i am aware of that is the only action on that day. and ERP on thursdays (were talking dubs here hence why ive left out ERP weekly singles action which has no baring on this subject matter). Fridays not really that excited about probably the reason why there hasnt ever been any action on that day because alot of people feel the same.

Please keep in mind Lenora's Bag Tag league will take place on Thusday evenings. First league starts April 15th.

Friday isn't the best day for several reasons;
1.There are already dubs the next day
2.People that miss Saturday Dubs for tournaments may already be gone on Friday afternoon
3.It's weekly dubs, after work Friday is the weekend, and we already have weekend dubs
4.Like you said...Traffic

I like monday, or even Tuesday if no one is running Redan Dubs

How do you guys feel about using both Alex and Lenora for Tuesday night action?

i think everyone is right about Alexander bringing all the players in right now, but i think it's very important to keep Lenora in the picture too. Remember Lenora's bag tag league starting soon. I believe a lot of people voted to have some kinda action, but not seeing any action now that it's official and ready to run. If you do plan on having a Monday or Tues league I think it would be cool to alternate between course's. I might even try it a few times with Saturday morning dubs, why not! That is just my 2cents hope it was worth typing.

That sounds like a good idea using both courses. However, I ran Dubs at LP for 2 years and people stop coming when 2 teams shoot -15 or better almost every week. I would come to LP Dubs, but I'm not sure how many else will.

Has anyone heard if Redan is still doing Tuesdays? TOMMY!!!!!?????

that is the fun thing about random draw dubs. sometimes you get a great partner and you kill it, and other times you get a great partner and you both blow it. giving up is not the thing to do but some people do and thats to bad.

Lenora would be great for roller doubles! Playing that format once in a while would change things up and maybe attract/keep players.

Every shot must be a roller (except the last one into the basket, obviously)
You can run at the basket from any distance, but both partners must hit basket or above to advance the disc. If either misses, you're still at the same lie for your next stroke.
If either partner makes the putt, the team holes out (optionally, require both putts made to make it harder)
To be a roller the throw must travel at least halve its total distance by rolling - no 300' thumbers with a 15' rollout at the end. No violation if throw is stopped by obstacle. No penalty for invalid throws - you just can't use it.

I'm going to run dubs next Monday around 5pm at The Alex. I'm NOT committing to run it every week but I will be in town next week and want to play some dubs at the Alex. Price will be between $10 and $15 for max action. Price and Time can be adjusted in necessary.
