Monthly Mixed Doubles
Bring your own partner, meet at main course sign.
Compete for fun and bragging rights but also enjoy meeting new people....all skill levels are welcome!

You do not have to be a couple! You just have to be 1 male and 1 female. We had 1 married couple, 1 friends pair, 1 mother son, 1 father daughter, and a single last time...can you get any more diverse than that? We will even do man/crossdresser but the crossdresser has to use the blue tees. :lol:

Where: Alexander Park (obviously!)
When: Last Sunday of month (a few exceptions, see full schedule below), 2pm
What: Mixed doubles, men play from blue- women from red. (adjustable for children and women that can out-drive men)
Format: Best lie each shot. Woman's drive taken at least 3 times *usually not an issue*
Price: Free!

Card format:

<3 groups single card
4 or more split to 2+ cards

**We will be splitting cards next time if >3 pairs, 4 hours for a round and the annoyance of everyone else in the park probably isn't a nice thing to do**

We had three couples (and 1 pair of gentlemen a noob and an experienced player) last night doing doubles. Had a great time!

Are any of the mixed pairs any good??

We could really use some mixed double pairs for the Border Wars tournament this year!!

Gvan is good, however his lovley bride has shoulder problems and can not play much right now.

I have never played doubles (mixed or otherwise). Can someone explain the format to me please? Do ladies throw from red? Do we use best lie, how are scores kept, etc? I am trying to convince my daughter to come out and play. Thanks.

Ed & Vicki win the Burger King crowns for hitting both male and female CTPs on 11 and 8 respectively.

We had a blast and my wife kept talking about it the whole way home. The wind was crazy out there today.

Ed and I had a great time also. That wind was wicked at times and played with all of our discs, but the pond claimed none of our discs today! I enjoyed our small easy going group, and hope we'll have 3 or 4 of those on the course the next time. See y'all on the 25th!

I am working on the trophy. I am thinking it will be available bi-seasonally to the best team. So right now we are in the fall-winter season and will crown a winner in March. Winner gets to display it proudly until the next season ends.

Base is purpleheart and the risers are African blackwood. I have not mounted the lego characters but I will glue them down with epoxy and paint their discs. I will also clearcoat and polish the wood.

I actually do not think we can squeeze one in this month. But will pick back up in April.

We never really had enough consistency to have a championship...working at it, this is tough stuff, the biggest problem being people to watch the children.

4/25 to be exact. I will try to get everything updated to reflect as such.

I found out yesterday that Z has a kids club party with the Gwinnett Gladiators at Malibu grand prix...2-4 so right during dubs.
