New pin positions at Alexander

A couple of GDGO Board members, along with park employees, installed 3 new pin positions at Alexander today. They will be ready to play next week after the concrete sets. The parks guys will be clearing out the brush around the new positions this week. There are definite lines to the new positions, but the baskets are closer to some trees which will add putting challenge.

Hole 5: a bit longer and to the right inside a circle of trees.
Hole 12: roughly as long and to the right of the long pin.
Hole 13: up the hill to the right of the long position.

We also re-painted the tee markers. So you can tell if you are an the blue or red tees. I know you have been wondering...

Thanks for your hard work. More options are great! While you got them agreeing to things, how about fixing the erosion problems on the short tees and the supposed erosion fix on #5's tee.

All of this was discussed and will probably be addressed. Since this is a new maintenance crew, we may even get the railroad ties on #5 moved back.

They are also planning on replacing the trees we have lost on the fairways when they next get some ornamental trees.

I wouldn't classify them as lefty friendly, actually. Hole 5 will benefit from a right hook at the end, but also has a righty friendly position. Hole 12 is the most lefty friendly now, but may get a position deep left in not too long.

Hole 13 has always been lefty friendly in the long, and I'd argue that it's much more neutral in the new position. It's not easy for either, frankly. I expect there will be a lot more 4s on 13.
