Glow tourney at Lenora?

With the days ending quicker it would be possible to do one maybe? Not sure of the legality but I thought the parks closed at 11.

Maybe do a single round in the light and a final round in the dark? If this was ok with the county and everything I would be willing to help out as long as someone who had TD'd got involved too.

I am thinking those solar yard lights in the tops of the baskets and glow or LED discs for the round...make it a 1 disc round for real fun and play leveling.

Anyways...before I daydream further, is this doable? Lenora seems best because there shouldn't be many/any safety concerns in open fields.

We had about 50 people out at Lenora last November for a round of glow. Not a tournament, but we had fun.

Glow sticks hung from the baskets worked pretty well.

Worked real well as long as they weren't red and weren't moved by the group ahead! (funny story on that one...)

I like the informal method because nobody gets stuck not playing!!

Yeah, we'll do it again this year, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't organize one too. I like November because after Halloween, glo-sticks are super cheap. Last year I got full-size glow sticks 6 for a dollar at Target.

Not automatically; Nothing in the rules says you have to play with natural ambient light.
Players couldn't tape anything to their discs though, making glo plastic the only practical equipment. Unless maybe XC class allows that sort of thing.
