The online signup for the ADGO Member event is active and can be accessed at www.discgolfseries.com.

Current ADGO members are free to enter and non-members are $17 which includes your membership in the ADGO through 2008.

Bummer. Haven't had a chance to play Sequoyah yet and would like to, but I've already promised my son we'd go up to Toccoa for the juniors event there that day. I realize there aren't many dates that don't have a conflict of some kind, however. Maybe next time.

Only Jr's event scheduled for the whole year, been on the schedule for nearly a year, and this is the ADGO tourney day - cannot even make it Sunday? Weak and short-sighted.

To everyone:

I apologize for the fact it SEEMS like we are stepping on the date, but this has been in the works since Sept. and the ADGO BOD was not aware of the Jr.s date at that time.

I personally have NO problems with it being on the Sunday Dec. 2nd, but I don't know if it's possible to change it.

Give the BOD some time to go over logistics and see what can be done.

If you click on the Membership tab on the Home page, you can "signup" to let us know you are still "around".
As you'll see if you had a "lifetime" # below 114, there is the one time signup, and you can "renew as new" for only $5 more and get an ADGO disc or t-shirt.

The ADGO was reformed and revitalized in January of '07, after 3-4 years of dormancy, and the new constitution was approved by the BOD and ratified before the board crash in June. It explains the membership status and rights, as well as several other items.

We look forward to having you "back" as a member and if there is anything any of the BOD can help you with, please send an e-mail to the contact you wish to speak with.

Unfortunatly i won't be there on the 2nd, but i do wish everyone have a good time and enjoy the 4 new concrete tee-pads the Snakes got installed recently with much of the credit going to Richard Johnston. When Keith let's me or Richard know what layout they want, we'll move the baskets for the tourney. We also cutup the fallen trees on 5's fairway and around 6's basket last weekend. Wish i could be there, especially to see Kat looking hot for the TV camara!

Ironically, it was Don's own tradition of playing the event on a Sunday

that worked against him when i asked the BOD to move it away from the Toccoa Jr., and Augusta events on Dec. 1st to Sunday to "keep with tradition" and not conflict with the other events to maximize member participation.

I'm sorry that Don can't be there, but glad that everyone else gets to see all the hard work that the crew there has done.

The tradition and having a Dec tourney at Sequoyah is the important thing here, and we have had it on sundays. Not a problem, as there are many golfers that always enjoy playing our course in Dec. I haven't played much this year due to health problems, but i expect next year to be much better and pain free golfing for the first time in several years.

During the tourney, beware of the fallen leaves (the leaves hide discs, bring bright colored ones-much easier to find) and later in the day holes 15 & 16 get really dark quick at sundown. Good luck everyone, darn i'm going to miss Kat's new hot outfit. Might catch that on TV later!!

Thanks Grease! The DG cruise should be a blast like last year, very interesting course there on the island with nasty undergrowth like i've never seen. I'm hoping that i'll be in shape to start playing the 2 day tourneys in '08, good luck and ya'll take care.

Speaking of sloppy seconds. If any of you older players have any X-clones that are in decent shape and are gathering dust in your garage, please bring them to me at the club tourney.
I'm paying top dollar for them. That's right, one dollar. Maybe $2-3.00 for a new one. Possible trade? I have quite a few back hand discs I don't throw.
I'll look on the walls and see if I can get a list.

Confirmed - Robocop. as for teh phone, it's Shaggy and Sooby by a creepy tree with bats in it. It's never been used so I don't know what it does. I think the bat's eyes light up. I will try it out tonight and let you know.

Except for used ones, I didn't find many new discs I wanted to part with because of the stamps, not the discs. Here's a few though.
Shark (DX Ontario) Blue 179g
Flick Yellow 173g
Stingray (DX San Marino) Yellow 169g
I have a couple of Hotlanta stamps 1999. One in an Eagle and One in
a T-bird. Probably mid 170's weight.
Two discs probably thrown 5 times:

Reaper Orange 175g
Maybe you don't need a disc but a 96 Olympic T-shirt?
Are you sad because you never bought an "Izzy" the Olympic Slug stuffed toy? He's yours (with the tags still attached) for one X-clone.

Only 3 hours left for on-line signup.

Weather will be good until the evening according to the forecast, WSB-TV will be there, free food, water, and sodas as well as Pnut's world famous chili, and Greg's specialty dish.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, 14 hours until we'll be waiting for you all to check-in(even if you signed up on-line).

We've got PLENTY of stuff for everyone to eat and drink.

We'll have chili, CHOP'S cheesecake, Greg's specialty, as well as stuff for the vegetarians and health people (turkey burgers, sun chips, diet soda's)

Your "plate" will be a 3 section container, so that when you have some stuff leftover to finish later, you can close it up and put it back in your car.

Let's make this this best ADGO event that we can!

THANKS AGAIN to all who have signed up, and for those that have'nt, just show up BEFORE 8:15 AM and join in!

Action is 2 rounds of singles, with "works" available for those that wish to participate (Woody will explain works to those interested.)

There is side action available for those playing pro if they so choose ($10 a head) with a top 1/3 payout in cash. (see Keith to sign up for that.)

Advanced and Intermediate players can also kick into a payout for merchandise if they choose ($10 a head) top 1/3 payout in vouchers.

THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO PLAY ANY SIDE ACTION!

How'd the WSB stuff go? I had to leave shortly after their guy arrived. Any idea if/when it'll be on the air?

Fun event - thanks to all involved. The chili was great, though my cube-mates are not enjoying it so much today.

A HUGE THANKS to all the ADGO members who showed up yesterday to play in the ADGO wintertime member event!

72 players, including 30 who joined the ADGO to play in the event!

We at the ADGO hope to keep you glad that you made the choice to join.

We hope to get your valuable input in how we can make the ADGO better.
We hope to see anyone who wishes to run for any BOD positions in the 2008 elections to speak up.

Great weather, new faces, almost 400 dollars in prize vouchers given away. Also we had over 20 CTP prizes given away donated by ADGO members, including $60 in cash donated by Jay Voss.

There was over 150 dollars raised for the Jim Warner fund which is paying for the 3rd permanent course at the IDGC which is already named for him.

Thanks to everyone who helped in ANY capacity as I don't wish to forget anyone!

We'll keep you posted on when the disc golf piece will air on WSB TV.
Oscar will be doing some filming at the JP Mosely, and Perkerson Park Ice bowls before the piece airs, so it will probably be Feburary before it's on air.

And last but not least, THANKS FOR BEING A MEMBER!!!

And a big thanks to all the folks that bought bag tags this year. We donated $632.00 to the ADGO for their "general do whatever they need to use it for fund."

And a BIGGER thanks to David for donating 1/2 of the bag tag proceeds to the ADGO general fund, as it allows us funding to help promote disc golf around the large "local" area that is metro Atlanta.

He certainly did not have to do so, and the ADGO BOD thanks him for his belief in the "revitalized" ADGO!

I thought I saw nate garners name on the CTP card, less than a foot from the basket.... and didn't recall him getting the CTP after the round..... I don't remember hearing anything about anyone recieving the CTP on 17:?:

He did pick up a CTP and ALL holes were given away in order.

Hole 17 I won and I loudly donated the prize back to the table(in other words I didn't take anything).

I also loudly gave away everything that was left on the table to the Perkerson and JP Moseley Ice Bowls, giving the merchandise to John Ritger.
