For our non-camping out-of-town guests, we've arranged a discounted rate of $89.99 at the Hampton Inn in downtown Newberry.

There are cheaper options for the budget conscious, of course, but if it's in your price range this is the ideal place to stay. It's far-and-away the closest hotel to the course, a straight shot down a rural highway. It's in the historic district, in walking distance of unique restaurants and bars (and thus, in staggering-back distance of the bars).

I played this course/tournament last year for the first time. It's one of the best courses I have ever played!

We have finalized the layout for Saturday's rounds on the quartz layout to 18 holes. Instead of playing the regular 20 hole track, we have decided to skip holes 6,7,8 (which puts us at 17 holes) and then we have built a new hole that is sandwiched between holes 15 and 16.

Sunday's round on the Diamond layout will include a new tee location on hole 18 making it play around 575'.

We will have firewood for sale for anyone camping and (weather permitting) have a bonfire Saturday night.

With the warm winter and above average temps this March, the trees should be completely leafed out by tourney time making the course play just a little bit tougher than years past. We've put in our order for wind and have been assured that it will arrive in time. Stoney Hill - "It's a breeze"
