As State Coordinator, I would like to start getting feedback as to which dates people would like to use for SANCTIONED EVENTS in 2011.

MAJOR CHANGE!!! - IN 2011 you MUST PAY the PDGA for your sanctioning agreement BEFORE dates will listed on the PDGA Online Calendar. (they can still be listed on here as tentative until paid for)

As always Majors, NT's and A-tiers dates are set first by the PDGA and then the rest of the schedule fills in.

I will also coordinate again with South Carolina, NC and TN to try to not overlap where possible.

The Calendar will be updated HERE ONLY in this post, so please check it first before requesting dates.

IF you want your tournament listed on the ADGO website front page, create a topic for your tournament in the Disc Golf Tournaments forum so there is something to link to! (added by jonp)

I kinda thought so because you love Lake Russell - Thanks for any help given to keep the Lake Russell Event on the traditional weekend as several people already have their cabins!

Yea including us......I'll have my dates ready by mid next week, they will include a Spring A tier, a Fall Major, and maybe 3-4 two day B-tiers.

Added - people do not have to pay first to be listed here - this is just a conduit for GA TD's to list Events they are sanctioning so people can see what dates have Events on them, as stated in the first post.

They do have to be paid to be listed on the PDGA calendar.

Alright here is what i have so far for the IDGC's schedule:

IDGC Ice Bowl- PDGA C Tier- Jan. 29th
Hall of Fame Classic- PDGA A Tier- Apr. 30th and May 1
Kan Jam Disc Golf Tournament- PDGA B Tier- June 4th and 5th
Global Disc Golf Tournament- PDGA B Tier- Aug 20 and 21
Reserved for a Large tournament- Sept. 23, 24, 25 (possibly a major so people should try to stay away from these dates)
Pam B Childs Memorial- PDGA C Tier- Nov. 19th

I am also looking into doing a team tournament in July most likely and maybe another late season B tier......

There will not be a series next year, I will probably be trying to do more team and skills type events this year.

We already have 19 Events listed and we are not even in DEC yet! :shock:

36 total PDGA Events will have been played in 2010 after the IDGC Monthly.

Be sure to check with the parks department on this one.

I think Wills Park is one of the sites for Alpharetta's Easter Egg Hunts.

Keith, I need approval to host the Josh Franklin Memorial at Chehaw on Oct 15th-16th in Albany, GA. I have submitted the sanctioning agreement to the PDGA. I know this conflicts with your GSSS Bonus event in Lula, GA but this is the only weekend the park will have open. Thanks, Mike Griner

Mike - as long as you are not sanctioning it as an A-Tier (you didn't say what tier it was) you meet the milage restrictions for going against the Womens Event B-Tier at the IDGC the same weekend. If it is a B or C Tier Event you meet the milage restrictions for the same weekend as the IDGC Event, and have the OK - It has been added to the schedule on here - please let me know the Tier when you can.
