I hear ya Matthew.

We did explore Redan for 2011. Unfortunately, the fee to play Redan is significantly higher than other area courses.

The ADGO BOD is looking into running the 2011 Member event at Redan. Not sure if the ADGO will "secure" the course at the county fee, run the member event in a format which will not require exclusive usage of the course for the day, or host the member event at a different location.

As Ritger has pointed out to me, we as a disc golf community need to get past resistance of paying a player fee (especially an inexpensive one) to play private and public courses. I don't disagree, but Disc Caddie (Bob and I) have decided to take advantage of the no costs arrangement, facilities and new course layout at OP for this years DC Finale.

If you have played a 2011 Disc Caddie Tourney or purchased a CFR, you are eligible to play in the Finale. We will be working to add cash and value to the final event at OP and I hope you can make it!

Thanks Bradshaw! Hats off to all of you involved with the Disc Caddie Series. The more tourneys, the merrier. Sorry I haven't made it to one yet. I agree that paying course fees to public/private parks is inevitable. I'd gladly put my $5 into the Redan bucket for some action there, but completly understand your budget restrictions. I should start my own "I miss Redan" thread because it isn't a slight on all the work you all have done. Now Randizzle and Clunck, get some Redan action going!

I hope we can get in on this tourney...it really sucks that we have missed every one of them.

ok so heres how i see it, craig your playing intermediate......your son is playing beginner.....are you forcing him to play beginner because you dont want him to beat you??? thats what it seems like but do not fear i have a resolution. Craig you move up to advanced and your son can move up to intermediate! its perfect and its puts people where they belong!

Yes, you are mistaken. Hole #3 is the first hole on the old course. I was referencing the pavilion and shack between #4 and #5. #11 is the Rock shot

-if you don't make it in the circle on your first throw (off the tee) then
-you go to the drop zone
for what will be your 3rd throw (# of throws +1stroke)
-if your 3rd throw comes to rest inside the circle of rocks (ob line) then you continue on to hole out
(here is where TD's need to clarify)
-if your 3rd throw (drop zone shot) goes inbounds and then skips out you take 1 stroke penalty and mark your lie where your disc went out (this is only if it hit inbounds first)
-if your 3rd throw (drop zone shot) doesn't make it inbounds, for whatever reason, you re-throw from the drop zone and add 1 more stroke (would be throwing 5th)

i am comparing #1silver basket and the subsequent OB area to an island.
if playing an island hole and the drive never breaks the in bounds plane it is ob, go to drop zone
from drop zone if throw breaks the in bounds plane and stops out of bounds lie is marked from point where disc went out and ob stroke added

like i said this is up to the TD

Only go to drop zone if 1.) your Drive does not rest inbounds on the island, or 2.) if your shot from the drop zone does not break island plane.

If you pass over or skip through any point of island on shot from drop zone, drop at last point of inbounds with 1 meter relief from OB line and on the island.
