May Day Madness IV, May 7th

MAYDAY MADNESS IV (non santioned event) DISC PAYOUT
Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department’s 4th Annual Disc Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 7 at Herman C. Michael Park Disc Golf Course, also known as “The HERM”. Registration is open now. You may register online or in park offices.

Entry fee: $20 Juniors, Amateurs and OpenPRO

$1 CTP Entry Fee
$2 ACE Entry Fee
Early check-in & registration conducted from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

Player’s meeting at 10 a.m. - Play begins at 10:30 a.m.

Juniors will play 2 rounds from the red tees.

PRO’s and Amateurs will compete in 2 rounds from the blue tees.

*Lunch provided for all competitors*

The first 50 registered players will receive a player’s package with custom disc!

Prizes awarded for:
Division winners and closest to the pin (CTPs); ACE award will also be given away. Disc payout to division winners.

I played The Herm yesterday and noticed that numbers had been painted on quite a few trees. I hope this doesn't indicate these numbered trees are being removed. Love the course but removing trees would make the course a little too easy. Also many teeboxes have roots that are above ground, can these be looked at before the tournament? You mentioned alternate tees and wasn't sure if these were the ones you were referring to. Thanks!

The painted trees in question are NOT going to be removed. This is "leftovers" from an FFA event.

As far as teepads, yes, these will be addressed. I just need to schedule a work day, and hopefully, some volunteers will show up to help. I can't do it ALL by myself
We will be installing 5 grid style teepads on some of the most problematic holes. If these get positive feedback, then we will try to get the OK to purchase the materials for all of them.
