Saturday check-in MAR 26th- 8:30-9:15AM at the pavilion next to Hole 1 (Larger Pavilion) - we have both pavilions - the smaller one will be set up for food and disc vendors
Players Meeting 9:30 AM
1st round tee-off 10:00 AM
LUNCH BREAK - food provided on site at small pavilion by John Inman which will be BBQ, Burgers and Dogs, with proceeds to the Special Olympics as it was last year.
2nd round tee-off - TO BE ANNOUNCED
Award Ceremony at the pavilion immediately following scoring of the second round, and if we have no weather delays, we should be done with awards long before dark!

Pool 1 ALL Players Except REC men (PAR 57)
Pool 2 ALL REC men shorter tees on HOLES 2,3,4,6,8,10,13,14,15, and 17 (PAR 56)

Hole 1 - 325' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead. Walking path and beyond O.B
Next tee - POOL 1 Turn left to tee #2 by edge of creek. POOL 2 turn left and up ridge to flags

Hole 2 - 575' / 300'- Par 4 /4
POOL 1 tees from pad - POOL 2 tees from flags at the top of first ridge.
Tee to basket straight ahead. Basket sits on top of 2nd hill
Fence on right is O.B
Next tee - POOL 1 Turn left and back to tee #3, POOL 2 plays from the short tee marked with flags.

Hole 3 - 470' / 255' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead in corner of park. Fence on right and behind basket is O.B.
Next tee - BOTH POOLS turn left to tee #4, POOL 2 continues ahead 100 feet to short tee marked with flags.

Hole 4 - 310' / 210' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Blind tee shot to basket straight ahead. Basket sits in middle of slope.
Fence on right is O.B
Next tee - BOTH POOLS go straight ahead to bottom of hill to tee # 5

Hole 5 - 240' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead at top of hill..
Next tee - POOL 1 turn left towards trees to tee #6, POOL 2 continues across ridge to short tee maked with flags.

BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead. POOL 1 MUST pass to the right of the marked MANDO on left side of fairway. DROP ZONE for missed MANDO is the REC tee.

Hole 7 - 263 - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead at base of trees.
Next tee - POOL 1 turn left to tee # 8, POOL 2 continues down the hill to short tee marked with flags at bottom of hill.

Hole 8 - 502' / 290'- Par 4 / 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead just over far hill. Basket sits at top of ridge.
Fence behind basket is O.B.
Next tee - BOTH POOLS Turn left to tee # 9

Hole 9 - 300' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket at base of hill towards pond.
Surrounded by water in LAKE is O.B.
Small creek to left is CASUAL WATER (Not OB).

Hole 12 - 325' -Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee straight ahead over hill to basket across creek at bottom of hill.
Lake and creek in front of basket are O.B. Beyond fence on right is O.B.
Next tee - POOL 1 walk towards lake to tee # 13, Pool 2 continues up hillside to flagged area 125' ahead.

Hole 13 - 640' / 515' - Par 4 / 4
BOTH POOLS - Tee straight ahead to basket towards corner of park. Fence to right and beyond basket is O.B.
Next tee - POOL 1 Turn left and back to tee # 14, POOL 2 turn left and towards fence line to the short tee marked with flags.

Hole 14 - 335' / 250' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee straight ahead to basket near creek. Fence on right is O.B.
In or beyond MAIN creek is O.B. Small drainage creeks on left side of fairway and next to basket are CASUAL WATER.
OB line is marked with string where drainage creek meets main creek.
Next tee - Cross creek and walk up roadway to tee areas near fishing pavilions. POOL 1 Tees from flags at pavilion, POOL 2 tees from flags 75 feet ahead.

Hole 15 - 335' / 260' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee from flags to basket straight ahead on hillside.
Surrounded by water is O.B.
Next tee - BOTH POOLS turn right to tee # 16

Hole 16 - 277' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee to basket straight ahead near cluster of trees before lake.
Surrounded by water in LAKE is O.B.
Next tee - POOL 1 Straight ahead past tee #12 to tee #17, POOL 2 Continues around lake to short tee marked with flags (Also POOL 1 DROP ZONE)

Hole 17 - 415' / 230' - Par 3
POOL 1 Tees over lake to basket on peninsula green. POOL 2 tees from flags straight ahead to basket on peninsula green.
Lake OB before and beyond basket - POOL 1 MANDATORY 1 time re-tee if OB on drive, if OB on 2nd drive go to flagged DROP ZONE near large tree (POOL 2 Tee).
In Lake on any other throws after the drive(s) follow standard OB Rules.
Next tee - BOTH POOLS Turn left and follow path across creek to tee # 18

Hole 18 - 255' - Par 3
BOTH POOLS - Tee straight ahead to basket on slope.
Lake OB, surrounded by concrete at pavilion or in parking lot is OB.

I didn't say Rain Out either - I said 1 round of RAIN - out of 41 Rounds played so far in the GSSS - so getting another 1 or 2 is still pretty good out of almost 4 years of Events spread out over most of the year. Still have had less rounds of rain in 19 Events over 4 years than some Events have had in 1 year. :mrgreen:

Hopefully we'll get in 1 dry round or it will go around us - I blame it on the damn WEST side curse - Deerlick gets flooded for Greg's Events and 1/2 a round of the 1st GSSS there, and last year White Oak got postponed a week by the snow and ice storm on FEB 13th. :shock:

I think I'm done with that side of the state. :mrgreen:

3 divisions are 1 stroke victories, 1 division 2 strokes and 1 division with 3 strokes - pretty good battles all around out there.

Congrats to Diana Lane, Merrit Schatz (long time GSSS Supporter) Zak Kemmer, and Lance Gregg (in his 1st PDGA Event) for their FIRST PDGA Wins!!!

Money raised through food purchases for the Special Olympics $435 and the players voted to add the $78 Ace Fund also making it a $513 total donnation!

Thanks to John Inman and Family for the great food.

"I" don't do ratings - they are based on the scores versus other players scores that played the same course at the same time.
REC will have ratings when they are officially done - not enough "Gators" had the rating minimum before playing White Oak.

They will be in the NEXT ratings update in May or June - not in the ratings that show on Tuesday.

hole 17 there are 2 rocs and 1 destroyer of mine in the lake in front of the hole and behind it. destroyer is pink with a tournament stamp and the rocs are both white KC. thank you

Not strange at all as Diana and Bowman took $155 in merch instead so it doesn't count for PDGA Stats - you'd think you would know something about Events after all these years. :mrgreen:

I PAID out 2215 in CASH - the PDGA doesn't list it as that because of them maintaining their am status - go stir up some REAL issue somewhere where someone besides you cares about it.

And then when I explained about the exact dollar amount difference and why it showed different - you still weren't satisfied - why would that be if you weren't trying to stir up anything?

REEdan can't help you out of something that is obviously not an issue - Hey guess what? No one was maintaining am status at McCurry - so I'll bet those numbers match up just like all of the other 20 GSSS Events before them did.

Go try and find an issue with people that don't put all their info out in public like I do -I've got NOTHING to hide about how I run Events and how much money I ADD to everyone of them -I've had several other area TD's ask me HOW I can payout out the numbers I do, becuase when they run Events they get to see what the numbers really are on the other side - and it's real easy to tell what is what.

Thanks for your participation in the GSSS Events and I hope you have seen personally the efforts involved and the benefits for the palyers that have been put out there in the 3&1/2 years you have been playing them.

But if you aren't happy playing in them for some reason - there are plenty of other Events in town where you may be happier playing - I'm ok with that, as I know I'm not everyones favorite, but I do care about the people that enjoy playing the GSSS Events, and I'll try to keep them happy if that's ok with you.

Either way you look at it, there was added cash to the pro field whether it was $929 or $774. So, nothing was taken from anyone if only the exact opposite. Thanks for what you do Kieth and don't mind Woody. I think he's off his meds.
