This is a fundraiser tournament to benefit the Disc Golf Club at Georgia Tech. 60% of entry fees are going straight to cash payouts for both divisions, and 40% is going to help the Georgia Tech Disc Golf Club return to Nationals in April. Donations are welcome, and we'll have first-run custom stamped GT Disc Golf Club discs on hand. This is your chance to be a part of something truly beneficial for the sport, as well as get some practice in before the Ice Bowl a few weeks later. Come on out and help us make this event a success.

As with any event at Perk, we need metal baskets!! Ritger has enough fabric ones, but any good metal baskets will not be turned away.

**Lunch will not be provided at this event. There is a Subway close by, and a Taco Bell, Wendy's and Popeyes about 15 minutes away. Also consider bringing your own lunch if none of those interest you.

It's on the 9th. The homepage is showing the results from last winter's event, which was on January 3, 2010.

Looking at the ten day forecast, Sunday is supposed to be the worst day next week. But I'll take this as good news because weather.com is never accurate that far in advance, so it'll probably be sunny in the mid 50s.

Tournament is still on for tomorrow! Mostly sunny in the morning, then mostly cloudy in the afternoon. And you had better layer up because it will be cold. 25 degrees when the first round tees off at 9:30, and the high for the day is 36.

It won't start snowing until 9 or 10 at night and everyone will be back home well before then, so no dangerous driving conditions.

Bottom line, bundle up and come out, it's your only chance before the Perkerson Charity Classic!

I remember that at last January's pandemonium we started at a frosty 18 degrees. Not to mention that some poor guy got killed and stuffed in his trunk ( http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/man-fou ... 65750.html ) at the Perkerson ball fields the night before. The way I see it, compared to last year, tomorrow will be perfect! Everybody come on out!

Turned out 12 players. Apparently folks are scared of the cold around Perkerson. But the thing about freezing cold Sundays is that we had the park completely to ourselves for two great rounds of disc golf. Special thanks to John Ritger for lending us his baskets and signage, Vach for bringing his basket, and Sandy Belt for providing delicious chili for lunch between rounds and generously donating over $50 to the club.

The layout was the long par-61 blues the first round, and the shorter par-57ish reds. Even par was approximately 118.
