everyone want to help but we get no info???? I think we have enough time and people to make it happen. The only way this tournament will not happen is if you guys just don't want it to.

I don't see why it couldn't happen also. The core group of people out there can handle it without Chappy very easily. It's too late to sanction it probably.

It was only sanctioned the year Jay ran it in 2005 since I've been here - the last 3 years have been unsanctioned - I don't know about before 2005.

There just needs to be someone to work with the park to make sure the bathrooms and concession stand area is unlocked and people to make sure the course is playable, baskets are where they are wanted and distances are provided - Pressley, Greg and myself could handle all the day of stuff with no problems.

We still have almost 3 full weeks to go - and I'd hate to not get to play an Event there for the first time in 2010 after not getting to play Toccoa this year either.

But if it doesn't happen, life will still go on I guess.

anyone want to play ? I just don't want this tournament to end like this and it seems like nobody gives a shit.It's ok with me that sunday doubles never workout but this is a once a year thing . I have a group ready to help but we have no direction.

Honestly if you really want to see this thing happen stop hanging out on the sidelines and step up and run the action.

It sounds like to me like you don't lack the motivation but perhaps you're looking for the permission to make it happen? My advice is to make it happen and make it what you want. Call the parks department or at least call Jay (who has a good working relationship with Cherokee Parks) and get this thing rolling. Then go about making it the best thing that you possibly can.

I am sorry that I have been out of the loop but I have been taking care of personal business. I am off for the rest of the year now and one thing I know for sure and that is we will have our 10th year doing a tourney in Dec at Sequoyah Park.
