Usually when I go there to clean up and trim stuff at the end of August I also have to move 1-3 baskets from where they are and then let the maintainence people know not to change them until after the Event.
If the hillside is cleared on 13 I'll use it for all 3 otherwise I'll set it to the description layout unless the maintainence guy from last year was able to clean and maintain a couple of places we talked about - and then I can change what needs to be changed.
Until I print the program AFTER coming back from there - everything is subject to change - the first year I couldn't get the broken plastic out of the sleeves to move a couple I hoped to use, so I had to do some rewording.

I haven't seen it since last SEPT - and I'm definately looking forward to the visit later this month!

UPDATE!!

Got back earlier tonight after working at Wills on teepads to 1PM, and then going up to prep Lake Russell.

Course looks good - the park will mow the fairways 2 more times (once this coming week and once week of Event)
Only light trimming was needed in a few places.

1 Hole - #3 is different - to the right - as the park has cleaned up the area and finally removed the PVC pipe in the sleeve to be able to use it again (hole description and distance updated in top post)

Hole 13 will stay on the hillside all 3 rounds (used last year on Sunday round as well as past Events) - hole description updated in top post

The only negative thing I saw was someone cut and mangled the branches on the tree next to the #6 Basket to allow crappy throws to the right of the basket pin high to have a clean line to pin from 50-60 feet away negating the design of the hole - much like when the "back door branch" was purposely cut off - it just degrades the hole a little at a time.

The hole was designed to approach the green and basket from one location and it has now been made disturbingly easier with these last 2 unapproved "changes"

How about a final nine for AM Masters. I understand not doing it for the INT and REC players but if you are having it for the open and Masters and ADV I think you should have it for the AM Masters. I once could compete with the pro masters but with impending double knee replacement and a 300+ pound body to lug around I can't (at this point) play with the big boys anymore. Just a suggestion......I want to beat Mike, Chad and Dusty in a final nine scenario because I don't have much time left.

P.S. I am pulling for "yack and pack and Kraken with a bad backen" (VACH) to win .

P.S.S. why isn't the original "Yack and Pack" playing....I miss you "Red" or better yet "Cheeto"

This is the last Event for the points bonus to be earned, and I'll have the spreadsheet with me to be able to calculate the totals in case you are not signed up for the Finale (and WHY aren't you, since it is less than 4 weeks away? )

I will be doing a $5 CTP buy in with proceeds going toward my goal this year of $1500 for the Ronald McDonald House. Last year we raised $1500 during Pam B Childs Memorial and hope at least to do the same this year on Nov20 at IDGC. The holes will be hole #4 and #7 for both rounds on Sat thats 4 chances to win or $1.25 a throw. I will be putting up 2 glow CFR Wraiths and 2 of my disc that I have dyed plus any disc that may get donated to the cause. Please help me help them ....Thanks BATMAN

WRONG!! - I always thank Brett profusely and publically at all of my Events and have given him several discs for his worthy efforts - you need to pay more attention at the players meetings at the few Events of mine you attend.

Thanks to everyone who showed and if 3 registered players who were there but chose to not play - actually played Lake Russell would have gone off full for the first time in GSSS history.

Next year the Lake Russell Event will again be the finale to the Series, so mark SEPT 10-11 on your calendar and remember in less than 1 month you can signup to get your cabins and campsites for the Event.

He shot outstanding golf last 2 full rounds - ZERO wind for all 3 rounds let most players of 950+ ratings to shoot under par, but he was on another level - like to see what he could do at Central in 11 days.
