2008 Proposed Schedule for PDGA Sanctioned Events

I am in the process of getting the tentative schedule together for Georgia disc golf. If you plan on having an event this coming year, please PM me and let me know your preferred dates and tier level. If you are planning an "A" tier you need to let the PDGA know by November and let me know asap. Thanks for your help in this - John

We need TD's and dates for next years schedule of tournaments. Please make posts here or send a PM to John (TDG). A Tier events need to be submitted by 1 November with the Sanction Agreement to the PDGA by 1 Jan 2008.

I think they are more interested in PDGA "sanctioned" tournaments. Not the casual tourneys.

chuck.......i didn't know about your dates when i set my deal up 2 weeks ago.....hopefully the 2-3 sanctioned ones will not conflict

Nice list Chuck.......let the TD's schedule their tourneys that have been a main stay in the area. Once a TD gets approved for a sanctioned tourney, that date usually stays every year (as long as it's sanctioned). If any of the dates collide, it will be time to adjust and fill in the blanks. Nice string of tourneys you have listed.......thanks and it will be good to see some of them sanctioned!

the dates for the gsss are feb 16th --- crucible course in athens (series kick-off event)
march 29th saturday---
may 10th saturday ---
june 21st saturday ---
august 2nd saturday --- central (fco3)
finale at lake russell sept 6-7th (sat and sunday) weekend after labor day
(10th annual lake russell open)

other 3 dates have at least 2 options in place for venues and i'll be working out the details as we move forward.....the dates WILL NOT CHANGE and keep checking the calendar for rest of courses as they get finalized and set!!

It is with much regret that I post to this thread. Due to some personal reasons, I will not be able to fulfill my job as the GA State Coordinator. I say "Thank you" to all who put their confidence in me to do this job. I also apologize for letting you down. I have notified Brian Graham at the PDGA of my decision and he will proceed with getting a replacement. If you have any questions concerning how the position will be filled please contact Brian at the PDGA office. Thanks for your understanding. Hopefully, after everything is back in order, I will see you all out there somewhere.

karolyn from the pdga called me yesterday, and offered me the position as i was the other person running for the position.

i accepted and was told to wait to speak to john, and allow him to disseminate the info.....

i have spoken with him and wished him well in his endeavors in getting back and hope to see him on the course sometime in the future


he is an inspiration to many and i hope all goes well for him!
