Or if you talked with Keith, he could run it as a 2 day C-Tier paying better than a B-tier, keeping the name alive as he did with the Lake Russell Open.

I never got a return call Mike, but let me know how you wish to go forward.
I'm happy to run it or to use Deerlick if you run The Ridge next year.

Perhaps Mike & Keith can run it together while holding hands and sipping smoothies :P

IF I run it, the dates would most likely be May 16, & May 17, 2009.

This puts it the weekend AFTER Mothers day and the weekend BEFORE Memorial day.

RFO 1 DAY = WEAK, INVALID, SCHULE - this is a 2-day trek in the beautiful surroundings of Rome GA. I do not care who runs it - Mike D and/or Keith can do a bang-up job to be sure. But this is one locale that warrants 2 days.
...so go have a McFlurry LEMON-PARTY with all your 1-day tournament-loving buddies in the schule

Has anyone been in touch with Rome Parks/Recreation? Last couple of times I've passed by Ridge Ferry it looked as if holes 13-18 were all missing; except for 17 which I guess they forgot was on the bank.

good eye.... they are missing. And it's hard to find you way around the course if you've never played (like me). I had a great time playing my own golf holes out there, but it would have been really nice if I'd played the right layout. The *map* doesn't help at all... it looks like most of the holes have been moved or altered. I didn't like driving an hour and 20 minutes to play 13 holes.... I almost had flashbacks of Sandy Creek

I've gone to RF 2X and each time baskets were missing. I have a vanload of people who would like to play RF at a somewhat cheap tournament - just to make sure that all the baskets are there.
This is just a request to have this tournament so we could spend a weekend up in rome throwing our arms out.

Corey,

There will be NO Ridge Ferry Open tournament this year or ever again probably.

The Park & Rec department up there wants too much money to hold an event ($1,000.00 for the weekend).

The park itself has sorta been let go since I don't help out there anymore.

If you want to throw your arms out, come out to White Oak Park!! Only about a 40 minute drive from Ridge Ferry!!

Later,
