If you haven't come down to the park yet, mark your calendar and plan on coming down on 4/29 to help out with clearing the course and hang around for doubles action in the afternoon. We need to put in 1,000 more volunteer hours to get the concrete teepads, and a big workday could be a big chunk of that time ... if 100 people come out for 3 hours, we'll have raised 30% of the funds. Every man hour is counted at $20/hour, so please come out and donate your time to raise real $$ that will fund concrete pad installation this summer.
The course is really coming along and just needs a big workday to be completely playable. This is a perfect chance to get the course looking as good as possible for the USDGC qualifier tournament the following weekend ... and a great chance to practice the course.
Schedule:
10:00am - 1:00pm Workday
Grill out for lunch (Charcoal & grills provided, but bring your own food!)
2:00pm = Doubles on the course
What to bring:
Work gloves and any tools you have -- we'll post a specific list before the event based on course install progress, but at a minimum need cutting/pruning tools, shovels, maddocks
Pants or long socks and long sleeves -- we have some thorns and poison ivy to remove
(We're hoping for better weather than our previous attempt with the February ADGO event)
