2011 Wednesday League @ Perkerson
*League play runs 3/16/2011 – end of October
*This is an organized pickup game, you don't need to signup, just showup. All skill levels welcome, no experience needed.
*Course will be setup every Wednesday @ ~5pm 3/16/11 – 11/2/11
*Try to arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time to checkin/register -- meet in gravel parking lot
*End of season playoff details to be announced as soon as they are worked out.

Why participate in the organized action?
1 = The course is setup using temporary baskets each week. We pickup the baskets as we go, so we're not picking up baskets in the dark, meaning if you just show up to play the course may not be setup. You are welcome to use the baskets while they are setup, just be forewarned about possible missing baskets.
2 = Score tracking -- all scores get logged on this website and discgolfscene.com

Action:
*Straight up, one division singles, 18 holes
*Action .... there are 2 options depending on how competitive you want to be. Players will be grouped accordingly:

2 = Competitive = $10 (includes $5 game action, (4) $1 CTPS, $1 Ace/Eagle fund).

Start Times:

5:20pm check in, 5:30pm start

Bring a basket if you have one, it takes 18 to setup the course every week

The 2011 disc golf season starts in just two days! First Wednesday is this week, 3/16. Sign in by 5:00, pick 'em at 5:15 sharp. We don't have much daylight to work with so try to be prompt. If it'll be close, let me know that you're coming and I'll put you on a card.

Format is TBD, we'll probably put it up to a group decision amongst those who show up. Buy-in is anywhere from $1-15. Just pay the $1 course fee if you just want to play, or more $$ if you want in on some more action. Three $1 CTPs and $1 Ace/Eagle fund. If you don't want to play super competitive, come on out anyways. We've got a sort of two-tiered system where we can put you with more casual players, or you can play against ADV/PRO players if you want. Either way you'll have a good time.

And if you have a basket, please load it up and bring it with you.

Beautiful day and the park looks amazing. Only 6 people showed .... I'm going to keep setting it up for a few more weeks, but if nobody is coming out we won't continue setting it up for long, it's too much work. So if you like having a place to play in-town, start coming out to play. I'll also consider moving it to Tues or Thurs if more people can make it since Wills is the only action going right now.

Guest visit from the Atlanta Beltline, who is getting involved in permanent course planning! More to come as I have details. They are getting ready to master plan the park and will have a use survey coming out soon. We'll need to ensure disc golf gets its fair place in the plan by giving lots of feedback through that survey.

Great turnout with 20+ people as well as our friends that are working on the master plan for the park. I think there were 8 all-in, 4 partially-in, 9 casuals in the organized and another 3 or 4 spotted playing ... so about 25 people.

Turns out this is going to be the last action of the season. We may setup another time or two, but not planning on it at the moment. Thanks everyone who has come out this year and we'll look forward to playing on permanent baskets soon.

And yes, we've got at least one winter fundraiser event planned. Right now I'm talking to the weather to make sure we don't have this on the same day as a crippling storm that shuts the city down for three days.
