Starting this Sunday (6/26) we will have random draw doubles starting at 10am. The cost will be just $2 for the round with $2 optional CTPs and $1 Ace fund. Meet at the pavilion near Hole 1 for sign up and hole assignments. Sign up with be from 9:30am to 10am.

Really trying to be there in the a.m. for the first event; have to meet a woman at pies on to buy a phone for the Mrs. at 9:30 - Pies on Pizza is like 4 minutes away but just in case... I may not be there till 10... if you start early.

Inaugurla Dubs!

We had eight players for the first ever inaugural doubles action. CTP winners were Ralph Young on Hole 12 and Jason Hartley on Hole 16. Ace fund rolls over to next week for a total of $7.

No worries Dollar. Really geared toward the beginner disc golfer with the low entry fee. Currently the doubles course record is 49 shot by Michael White/Miles Long.

Another good turnout with 12 people. CTPs went to Joe Thompson on 10 and Donnie Reece on 12. We also had our closest ace run yet. Justin or Will White (depends on who you ask) hit chains on 16 and had the disc just fall out. Ace pool rolls over to $38 next week.

Nineteen players this week making this our biggest turnout so far. CTP winners were Ben Ussery on hole 1 and Michael White on hole 16. Andrew Jenkins was the big winner this week with a fourth place finish and an ace on hole 12 to take home $55. Ace/Eagle Fund defaults to $0 for next week.

Fifteen players this week that meant another odd dog. CTP winners were Clay Campbell on Hole 6 and Jeff Sanders on Hole 12. Barry Arnson hit basket on his second shot on Hole 8 but it didn't go in so the Ace/Eagle Fund goes to $12 for next week.

Eighteen players on an overcast Sunday morning. Rain was all around us but nothing more than a few drops ever fell which kept things fairly cool. CTP winner for this week was Jason Hartley on both Hole 10 and Hole 16. First place went to the team of Jenkins/Brown after defeating the team of Arnson/Sanders on a one hole clot-if-not playoff. No one hit an Ace/Eagle so the fund goes to $26 for next week.

Don't you think you should reschedule since there's action at Central and Flyboy this Sunday? Being in such close proximity could mess with attendance at either doubles. Please think about the ramifications and act accordingly on this.

I'd say teeing off by 10:05 - 10:10 ... usually finish up around 12:30 (sometimes takes longer if there's a 6some, like today ...)

Fourteen players this week on an unusually windy morning. This lead to some higher than usual scores and players battled the gusting winds. CTP winners for this week were Justin Dickerson on Hole 1 and John Caterson on Hole 15. No one hit an Ace/Eagle so the fund rolls over to $39 for next week.

Jason is right. Takes about 2.5 hours to play if in an foursome. Had a six in a group today so played was extended about about a 30 minutes.

Eighteen players for this week on a calm and sunny Sunday morning. These conditions caused the greatest five way tie for last cash and also a new course record. JPZ and Michael White shoot an outstanding 47 with an ace run by Michael on hole 17! CTP winners were newcomer Andrew Groover on Hole 2 and Jeff Sanders on Hole 4. No Ace/Eagles were hit so the fund rolls over to $59 for next week.

I will not be at dubs next week. Derek Rader will be running the action.

Windy and overcast skies led to some higher than average scores. We played the long pad on hole 2 and it averaged a 4.3 for the day with no birdies. CTP winners were Jeff Sanders on hole 12 and Anthony Mosel on hole 16.

We had 8 people show up on Feb 12 for the coldest round of Dubs yet. Par 5 14 played as par 4 with all but one group getting a par with most groups having a shot at eagle. In the future it will more than likely be played as a 4. Feb 19 turned out to be a rain out. This past weekend though had 11 people including the return of Barry to our Doubles action. CTPs went to Jason Laird on hole 3 and myself on hole 15.

Kevin McCoy and Miles Long shot a blistering 47 this morning to take first at Dubs. Their round included a -5 on the front 9. Overall we had 15 players show up and take a shot at the USDGC Roc, which went to Miles and his CTP on hole 16. Cash CTPs went to Eric Bass on hole 2 and Derek Rader on Hole 15. Ace fund goes to $109.

Eric Bass and Kevin McCoy combined to set a new course record for Sunday dubs. -5 on the front and -7 on the back gave them a 45 for the day, beating the previous record of 47. Besides the ever-present pollen cloud the weather was perfect for disc golf. Overall we had 15 players show up, including 2 newcomers in Jay Lerner and Christian Calderon. Both CTPs went to Kevin for a total of $30. Ace fund climbs to $121.

March 25th Dubs
A swirling, windy day lead to some some higher scores than we've recently seen. Kevin combined with Jason Laird to take the top spot with a 53. CTPs went to Kevin on hole 4 and Matt Polk on hole 10.

April 7th Dubs

Beautiful Saturday morning with minimal wind ... and only 12 people showed. CTP winners this week were Don Finley on Hole 5 (2nd shot) and Justin White on Hole 13. Next week, April 15th, dubs will return to Sunday mornings at 10am.

April 15th Dubs
16 showed up this past Sunday. Hole 14 was played to the long pin as a par 4, so par for the course was 58. Mr. Tyson Puckett took home the big money with both CTP's (Hole 1 and 2nd shot Hole 14).

1) Barry Arnson and Miles Long - 53 (won playoff)
2) Tyson Puckett and Jason Laird - 53
3) Jeff Sanders and Jim White - 54 (won playoff)

April 22nd Dubs

On a rather windy day, the duo of Kevin McCoy and Ralph Young had a clean sweep of the action taking home a total of $240 between them. Ralph drained the ace fund of $189 on Hole 13 and Kevin took both CTPs on Holes 6 and 16. Action for the next few weeks will be singles (same time/day/place) as we try and get enough numbers to run handicaps. We'll also be playing the par 62 GSSS layout on May 6th in anticipation for GSSS #3 at McCurry on May 12th.

May 20th Dubs
Taking a break from the recent singles action, we returned to random draw dubs. 11 people showed up on an awesome day for disc golf. Don and Miles showed the young guys how it was done by posting a 49, a 4 stroke victory. CTPs went to Miles on hole 10 and Michael White on 16.

June 3rd Dubs

11 players showed to play on a day with minimal wind. CTP winners were Jason Laird on Hole 1 and the duo of Kevin McCoy and Miles Long splitting 2nd shot Hole 5. Next Sunday, June 10th, starts PDGA sanctioned handicapped singles (more information about this will be posted this week).

1) Miles Long and Kevin McCoy - 46 (a blistering 20 on the back 9)
2) Jeff Sanders and Jason Hartley - 49

They've been running handicapped singles the last couple of weeks I believe. Iceberg can give you a more definite answer as he is the lone man in charge now.

We have dropped singles action from Sundays. Sundays are now once again Random Draw Best Shot Dubs with a $5 buy in. This weekend we will be doing the 7A and 7B holes. For those that missed it the first time we did this, 7 is divided up into 2 holes. 7A tees from the normal tee to an island green about 250ft out. 7B tees from the top-left of the hill to the normal position in the woods. Both are par 3 and both are a lot of fun. If anything, 7A is another shot at our $180 ace fund! Sign up starts at 9:30 with play starting at 10.

I'd like for us to sponsor a hole at Bowden. There will be some optional CTPs this upcoming weekend. Each one will be $1 a piece for a chance to win 2 discs a hole. Right now I'm looking at at least 3 optional CTPs. Also, the Ace Fund is up to $280...full payout!

There will be 5 additional CTPs this weekend at Dubs. In addition to the 2 cash CTPs, there will 5 optional for $1 each. Each CTP will be for at least 2 discs. Ace Fund is $280!

Dubs returns in the morning at the regular time of 10AM tee off. We'll be setting up the short course so everyone gets 4 more shots at an ace for the $335 ace pot. Buy in will be $7 with CTPs being on the 4 temp short holes.
