So I want to come up with the best possible layout consisting of the fewest tweener holes at The Mose. So here's a couple of questions to help figure it out.

-Which holes do you think are better from one of the shorter tees?

-Which pin placements are your favorite?

#10? (hole before the island hole) ... the most . then #12? (the hole after the island hole).

I disagree on 12, if you crush it... you can get down there with a birdie chance.

EASILY 10, ten is much better from the short tee. 17,18 are possibilities but not necessary by any means.

I prefer the pin placement on 7 in the woods as opposed to in the open all the way down the fairway. And ditto on holes 10 and 12, both tweeners for all but the biggest arms.

10 from the blue pad is a nice hole. 12 from the red is a totally great ace run. Maybe intead of using shorter tees we could drop two new anchors on those holes and make them more of a 3?

I know that we are short on one anchor, and if anyone has a spare Mach III anchor and would be willing to donate that would be great.

Hole 12 is the worst hole out there. All of the tee pads are essentially the same throw. Best shot is from black 13 to 12's basket. Don't forget you'd have OB walk path all along the right side.
That would make 13 tee from either gold or blue, in which blue provides a fun/slightly technical shot.

Hole 9 from the blue tee is also a great shot & allows more of a eagle/birdie chance. That tee makes it easier to land in the OB walk path or miss the ideal landing spot for your next shot.

18: tee from 7's concrete pad (or 7 black pad ) & it makes the hole an actual par 3

That's all I can think of that wouldn't be mixing up flow

8-Long to Long (and I have always thought it would be better if the little area in front of the green between the path and creek was ob forming an ob "frog pond." This would force players to actually make a choice on their 2nd, or even 3rd shot.

12-I once heard rumor of a possible long pin over the path to the left of the trees. Otherwise Long or temp tee

Personally would love to move 12 back over the road to the left and make it a 4. Love Josh's input on playing from black 13 as well, can't believe I never thought of that.

also like the idea of 9 playing from cement pad more than the gold pad, but I still miss 9's old location too.

I like 5 on the new pad personally but if the older pad were to be used the longer pin breaks up anhyzers...The shorter pin would be the 2nd of four anhyzer holes in a row.

Hole 12-I would either recommend a shorter pin that has the potential to be dueced/aced or extend it to a par 4. If it becomes a par 4 then you just about have to play 13 blue (concrete pad) as the walk between a par 4 12th and the black pad on 13 would cause serious flow issues.

Hole 18- There is a par 4 placement on this hole. As of right now that Sunday there are no other events scheduled at the park. We could play the par 4 placement instead of the 3. The placement is between where the basket currently is and the practice basket. (The basket is not there very often as football is being played all the time but for a one day tourney it could be made available)

Everything else sounds great!

Dan - was just thinking a short pin on 12 could possibly make a blind tee shot if moved correctly. Would make a really short hole... very interesting.

Yeah... like I said today I'm all for moving it across the road, could be a great hole. Would sponsor a sleeve to move it there. Would make the turn/corner 10, 11, 12, and 13 basically the Amen corner of the golf world. Flow from it to the Par 4 13th actually would be really nice and par would be unaffected (61 with 5 and a 3 - 61 with two 4s)

If it were possible to drop a temp sleeve for a short pin at the bottom of the hill on 12, then I'd like to do that just so we can still use 13 from the Long tee. But if we created a new pin on the other side of the path for 12, then the total par would stay the same bc both 12 and 13 would be par 4s. Personally, I like the idea of a par 3 and a par 5 better than two 4s.
