It looks a lot better now that the tree's have been cleared up somewhat. A few new routes are visible, but the hole isn't too much easier.... did I mention that I wasn't playing too well??
JPZ wrote:Most all of the trees on 4 have been removed .....so now hopefully you barney's will quit complaining how hard the hole is!!!!!!
then again, I think it was put best by Josh something like,"regardless of how easy you make the course, people are still gonig to complain".
Sorry if I hacked the Quote my recollection is probably off a bit . But, the point is the same.
The good news is, I pared it 3 x's today getting through clean all times..................the bad news is it was a make or break hole in a round -momentum changer hole.
You came to 4 you either held on w/ a 3 or it all kind-a went down hill from there.
Now, you will get a 3. 8 x's out of 10 probably. So,..............................BE HAPPY BARNEY'S

dandaman wrote:Next major projects include:
Extending hole 14 to the old growth woods across the road by hole 15's teepad. Another par 4 yea!
JPZ wrote:No thanks! We are looking for someone w/ credentials and possibly a portfolio.
ps.
has Donnie been running his mouth again?
The IB is over man
JPZ wrote:I don't know this. ...........................And, let me add, I believe my humor is worsening and weakening like my golf game.
I like Dusty's work.
However if anyone got a JPMIB disc I'm sure that they would agree, that the basket had way to much detail and was way to big (it got cut off)
His work on other projects has been wonderful.
I really liked the 12th annual Hotlanta design.

the other 1 being placed on hole 10, right of the path...set in the woods, not deep about 10-15 yards in?
It would add an OB w/ the walking path and shouldn't be to deep in, as to be a problem w/ flooding.
Could be a bit shorter than now so that a birdie would be possible. But still a risk w/ the added OB.

dandaman wrote:WORK DAY!!!
APR. 6th (Tues) or APR.7th (Wed)
We will be clearing a new pin placement for hole#14, and if energy and time permits we will be doing some maintence on holes 15-17 as well. Definetly would welcome anyone interested to contributing to the growth and maintenece of DG here in the ATL.
Bootsie wrote:change hole 12 and 18 and the course is bad ass.
Bootsie wrote:build elevaded basket on hole 12 and move it in 80 feet making it a rip to get there and a tough putt. hole 18 move it into the woods on the left or put it on the tree line and make it so its reachable. There maybe 1 person in the entire sport that can reach it and i mean 1 person and that would be double G and maybe Avery but thats it. weak sauce some people would say.

12 is very "blah" and should be considered for redesigning.
18 is a different story.... not much to do there, just empty space.
dandaman wrote:One of the eagle signs (hole 1) is missing. If anyone knows of its whereabouts it also would be appreciated.
dandaman wrote: The shot is interesting as it's between a putter and a mid range.

Fixed that for you.

Dan - was just thinking a short pin on 12 could possibly make a blind tee shot if moved correctly. Would make a really short hole... very interesting.

What hole #12 needs is trees.

Played it today and made a 3 but I also threw some other shots that were close to the basket. 2's now hmmmm . Not bad
Only draw back would be when the skys grace us with some water. That hill gets slick and holy^%#*^ it gets 2inch thick muddy on the feet.
Although, playing it OBwould be very Moseley-esque. Maybe only sometimes tho

I guess we need to spread some seed and grow some grass in the area
and see if we can get the bushhog dude to start hitting the "field of screams" when he's out

TomahawkChopper wrote:Id Like a nice sized CYPRESS, Japanese Red Maple, or A Weeping Willow there than the Kiosk. And yes Gold 1 came after way after the Kiosk. I've only hit the thing 1 time myself its just more of an eye sore than anything it just doesnt belong there.
I know I can get a Japanese Red Maple from the Michigan Bulb Company for like $4.99 it will be a small one of course but when it grows it will look really good there. What's your thought on that? Its no argument just a discussion between the Moseleites.
Also next time I'm out there I will be removing the the black plastic that protects what once were young saplings now strapping trees it just looks horrible.
