Best Safari Course!!!!

I saw that Gwinnett is trying to get people back out playing LP. If you're bored with the layout dont be bored with the land. With less traffic on the course its easier to play Safari and LP is the perfect place to do it. Theres tons of options but here's an example lay out thats not bad.

Hole 1 Tee to 17 bskt (probably the riskiest hole on the layout, you have to wait for no walkers on the path for this one)
Hole 2 Long Tee to 3 bskt - Par 4
Hole 4 Same hole but double mando between the trees (normal mando but on opposite side of tree)
Next Tee is straight back from 5s tee, now teeing from walking path (long with a low ceiling before it goes downhill)
Hole 6 Tee to 7 bskt - Par 4
Hole 8 Tee to 12 bskt- Par 4
Hole 13 Tee to 15 bskt- Gold level Par4 (playing to 14 bskt is also a good, much easier par 4)

and the best hole in GA........
Hole 16 Tee to 18 bskt-Gold Level Par 5 and disc eater. An uphill Tee through the tightest gap at LP, across 17 and over the lake, then back up the hill. The only way to birdie is to get your 2nd shot over the lake, and its still not easy when you do. I've gotten a 4 on it twice out of around 25 times.

If I go to LP by myself i generally play the normal first 8 holes and then play those last two safari holes

Safari course I used to play:
#1 to #11 When there used to be water in pond
#12 to #8
#9 to #14- Back of the pad, double mando between the trees on #13
#15 to #16- Double mando between teepad trees on #16#
#17 to #18 boy I hated losing that t-bird
Short# 2 to #3
#4 to #5
#6 to #7- mando rt. of cedars
#7 to #1- back of pad

Used to go out when my oldest Joey, was Stroller bound and I was getting stir crazy! Once played #1 to #18 by way of #5's fairway. What do you think the par is on that one???

Oh, I see, I would say that is at least a par 6 really to have a chance at a birdie. I don't get out there much but I would think you might could make a five on that if every shot was perfect.

Chuck Norris would go over the trees rather than shooting the gap between 5 & 2. He knows he has to do that to set himself up for the 3.

my favorite safari holes are,
1 to 17 basket
2 short pad to 4 basket
4 tee pad to 5 basket
6 tee pad to 9 basket
10 tee pad to 13 basket

4 tee pad to 15 basket





that last one was a joke, but damn that would be one long hole

4 pad to 7 basket would be about a 4 or 5 par? but a pretty good safari hole.

We played (well I caddied) 10s tee to 11s basket with the 2 trees in between as a double mando after the women's clinic.

It was a sweet hole, how many double mandos do you see 400' out on a 596' hole?

we should have just played over to 17's basket instead. I didn't have much room for my second shot to go anywhere....

The good thing about Lenora is that there are many ways to configure the course for a Safari round. Good times!

Yeah that would've worked, I think those dudes were playing it while you guys were working your way over there though.
